The Non-Domestic Alternative Fuel Payment Scheme (NDAFP)




The non-Domestic Alternative Fuel Payment Scheme (NDAFP) has been introduced to support non-domestic energy users who are not connected to the gas grid and use an alternative fuel to heat their premises.


As a customer of F&S Energy, we are required to provide a payment of £150 on your electricity account.

FAQs


1. Who will identify eligible premises?


The scheme will be available to those customers who the government recognises has a postcode that does not have a meter point connection to the gas grid, and uses an alternative fuel to heat their premises. The government has identified and validated these postcodes using data provided by the Gas Transporters via Xoserve as of 13th December 2022.


2. What is the exact criteria for F&S to make payment to you?


  • Supplied with electricity by F&S as of 8th January 2023 in or out of contract.
  • The premises must be non-domestic
  • In an off-grid postcode
  • An active, energised import MPAN with electricity use within the past 12 months (9th January 2022 - 8th January 2023). 


3. What will the discount be?


The NDAFP will provide a one-off discount of £150 to your electricity account by 10th March 2023. There will only be one payment per unique address even if you have multiple eligible MPANS at the premises.


4. I was supplied by electricity from two MPANS each from a different electricity supplier, and my premises was eligible for the scheme. I have received two NDAFP payments.


You are only entitled to receive a single payment of £150 per unique premises. If you receive a second payment for the same premises from another electricity supplier you must report this back to F&S immediately.


5. What if i have outstanding debt on my account?


As per the government rules, if you have an outstanding debt on your account and eligible for the NDAFP payment then £150 will be offset against your outstanding debt.


6. What if i think my premises is eligible?


If your premises is not connected to the gas grid and you use an alternative fuel to heat your premises please contact us on info@fs-energy.co.uk and we will contact BEIS on your behalf.


7. How will the discount appear to me?


F&S will issue a credit note to the value of £150 accompanied with a covering email outlining the scheme.


8. When i will receive the discount?


A credit note will be issued to you before the 10th March 2023.
